Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using CardGhost, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What CardGhost is

CardGhost is a cloud-based record-keeping and collection-operations service. You enter or import card records, purchase details, quantities, values, notes, and photos; CardGhost helps you organize, search, update, analyze, and export that information.

CardGhost does not currently provide live market prices, appraisals, or valuations of its own. It does not scan marketplaces or find deals. Any values shown are values you entered and should be independently verified before you rely on them for a transaction or other decision.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when you sign up, keep your login credentials secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Free trial, subscription, and billing

• CardGhost starts with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to begin the trial, but $0 is due at signup.
• When the 7-day trial ends, the subscription is $10 per month, billed through our payment processor (Stripe), and renews monthly until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. (TODO: confirm the final refund policy.)
• We may change pricing. If we do, we will give you notice before the change applies to your subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. That includes not attempting to disrupt or reverse engineer it, not reselling or redistributing it, not using it to store unlawful content, and not accessing it through automated means in a way that burdens the service.

Your content

You own the collection data and photos you add. You grant CardGhost the limited license needed to host, process, and display that content back to you so we can provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.

Our intellectual property

CardGhost, including the application, design, and brand, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights in our brand or software beyond using the service as intended.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that values, totals, or analytics are accurate or suitable for any decision, since they are based on the figures you enter. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardGhost will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from decisions you make based on the information in your account. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using CardGhost and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for us or others.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be communicated more prominently. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where CardGhost operates. (TODO: insert the governing law and venue.)
